This brings me back to Upgrading and not full fresh install. My PC is over 5 years old, maybe that's a factor but it still surpassed all the requirements to run Windows 10 I don't know what to do now because this goes beyond my knowledge of windows 10 and computers. I removed my McAfee to see if that changed anything but still no luck. Turning router off and on again doesn't work. All wireless devices are working fine, My LAN adapter is a Broadcom Netlink Gigabyte Ethernet. It's fine on startup but once I go on Edge, Chrome, steam or Skype it stops about 3 minutes in when using them.

However if you transfer movies, ultra large files, etc. The connection I have is unwavering and blistering fast. As for performance, this is the 10/100 model which I selected as I do not need Gigabit Ethernet at home. This device plugs into a USB port and you then connect your network cable to the other end. The reviews look good on Amazon and I'm very inclined to get this. Isn't that worth the $12? And if you are like me you will prevent much ribbing from your wife. This auto installs after plug in and I haven't had a drop off in a week. Getting tired of this? Go to Amazon (or wherever) and buy a USB converter and you'll be much happier. Retreat? Hell no, my strategy was to attack the issue in a different direction (just like Gen. Being somewhat of a techie I tried all the various probable solutions posted here and elsewhere to little avail. Again, no issues for well over a week and then one day both dropped the connection at various times.
I have two Dell XPS 8300 and upon updating to Win 10 on my pc I had no issues for a week and then upgraded my wife's pc (against her wishes) as well.
